If you do not understand these directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you. 2.Take each dose with a full glass of water. 3.Sibutramine is usually taken once a day. Follow your doctor's instructions. 4.Sibutramine can be taken with or without food. 5.Never take more of this medication than is prescribed for you. Too much sibutramine could be very dangerous to your health. 6.Store sibutramine at room temperature away from moisture and heat. 不良反应 1.If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking sibutramine and seek emergency medical attention: *an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives); *an irregular heartbeat; * very high blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision); or *seizures. 2.Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take sibutramine and talk to your doctor if you experience *restlessness or tremor, *nervousness or anxiety, *headache or dizziness, *insomnia, *dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth, or *constipation. 3.Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome. 注意事项 1.Do not take any other prescription or over-the-counter medicines without first talking to your doctor, especially weight-loss products, decongestants, antidepressants, cough suppressants, lithium, and migraine medicines. 2.It is very important to have your blood pressure and pulse monitored regularly while you are taking sibutramine. 3.Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Sibutramine may cause dizziness, difficulty concentrating, or restlessness. If you experience these effects, avoid hazardous activities. If Miss a Dose: 1.Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose or if it is already evening, skip the missed dose and take only your next regularly scheduled dose. A dose taken too late in the day will cause insomnia. Do not take a double dose of this medication. Contraindications: 1.You cannot take sibutramine if you *have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), tranylcypromine (Parnate), or phenelzine (Nardil) in the last 14 days; *have anorexia nervosa; or *are taking other weight-loss medicines. 2.Before taking this medication, tell your doctor if you have *high blood pressure; *heart disease, irregular heartbeats, congestive heart failure, or a history of stroke; *epilepsy or another seizure disorder; *gallstones; *glaucoma; or *liver disease. 3.You may not be able to take sibutramine, or you may require a lower dose or special monitoring if you have any of the conditions listed above. 4.Sibutramine is in the FDA pregnancy category C. This means that it is not known whether sibutramine will harm an unborn baby. Do not take sibutramine without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant. 5.It is not known whether sibutramine passes into breast milk. Do not take sibutramine without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. These reactions can be very dangerous and require medical attention. Do not take any other prescription or over-the-counter medicines without first talking to your doctor, especially weight-loss products, decongestants, antidepressants, cough suppressants, lithium, or migraine medicines. 4.Drugs other than those listed here may also interact with sibutramine.
